The Remnantz was first formed in January 2008 by Sergeant123 and Appliquetion. The clan's original name was "The Empire". During the first clan meeting members voted to change the name due to the popularity of the word "empire". The name adopted was "The_consortium". The original clan structure had 3 leaders with the members divided equally. The clan was split into three Branches (Venatus Domus, Solers Domus, & Proeliator Domus) that were all equal, no one above the other. Each branch was in charge of one of the three specialties: mini games, combat, skills.
By April Clan membership grew to 50 active members but instability was growing in the officer ranks. After much consideration it was decided that the trajectory of the clan was heading for self-destruction so a plan was laid to restructure once more. The new clan structure had only one leader and and all members united under that leader.
Appliquetion was declared the sole leader of the clan and it was decided to adopt a new name to represent the clan's transformation. And so in April 2008, the clan adopted the current name The Remnantz. In October 2008, it was decided that more than one leader was needed to run the clan efficiently and Mmellinger1 was raised to Co-Leader of The Remnantz, no other changes in structure was made.
