Member Approval Steps

1 - Background check

Run a background check on the applicant

1. Check name on RS high scores, see if info provided meets whats on highscores and check out applicants stats.
2. Check Tip.it's combat calculator for applicants combat lvl.
3. Do a search on the applicant's name in the rs forums to see what comes up.
4. Add to friends see if there has been a recent name change. If so do the above on the old name.

2 - Letters

After the Background check do one of the following:

If they pass all of those tests and meet clan requirements go forward to posting an acceptance letter.
If they are a returning member in good standing post the return policy letter.
If they do not meet requirements, post the :rejection letter.
If their application is not fully filled out post the request for more info letter.

Rejection Letter

We are  sorry to inform you,  {insert name here}, that  you currently do not meet our requirements for membership and therefore we are unable to accept you as a member. You are welcome to reapply in the future once you have raised your levels to meet our basic requirements of skill total no less than 1100 and no greater than 2150.

For those below 1100 or over 2150 you must have a sponsor from the clan that will vouch for you as a friend. Feel free to find a clan clan member and make friends to get them to sponsor you if you are interested in being part of our family. The Sponsor must be ranked Faithful or above in clan, have at least 10pts the month of sponsorship and have known you a month prior to recommending you to the clan. A Member can only sponsor one person at a time.

Returning member letter

Thanks for applying again to the clan, there have been a few changes and one of those is that all returning members must first attend 5 clan events to show that they are invested in rejoining before we accept your application. You need to contact a current officers or pm Mmellinger1 in regards to the steps you need to take to rejoin.

Acceptance letter

Cut and paste the letter below on the rs recruitment thread. Don't forget to insert their name.

Congratulations (name)

We are happy to accept you into our family.

Your first rank is Purgatory (smiley in chat). You will not be recognized as a full member of the clan till you have achieved Supplicant status, for this rank up you must accumulate 25 activity points.

You must must accumulate 6 activity points to retain your active status in clan and not be kicked out.

Your mentor in the clan is:
They will instruct you on taking the new member orientation tutorial and acclimating to the clan. Your mentor will be instrumental in your success in the clan. They are there to answer your questions and offer guidance if you are not sure what you should be doing. Be sure to add them to your friends so that they can contact you.

Please add the following members to your friends list if you have not already: Appliquetion, Mmellinger1 and The_remnantz

Feel free to ask any of our officers (silver stars) any questions you may have. We rely on our clan site for communication be sure to ask about it.

3 - Add to Member Lists

Add the New Member to the Following Pages:

• Add the Member to the House List
  • Go to the Add a Member page
  • Scroll to the house you wish to add the new member
  • Enter the members name in the white box
  • Click the Button that says "add to the house…"
  • A new window will open for editing, code already inside.
  • Type the join date in
  • Click save.

• Add to Clan Chat Account
  • (The Remnantz) give rank of purgatory.

• Add new members to The Remnantz Thread on Runehead

4 - Announce

Update the News Page

Do a note in the Latest Clan News page of wiki
Example:

+ Welcome our newest members: 
* Name, House

How to edit a page: simply click on edit button at the bottom of the page. This will open an editor with a toolbar pallette with options, be sure to click save when finished.

5 - Notify New Member

PM new member in game

1. Notify them they have been accepted
2. Inform them how to find the event calendar, home world.
3. Tell them to read their acceptance letter and follow the instructions on it.
4. Tell them about the Clan Wiki Site.
